Since I’ve started working at home, I gradually dressed down to the point that I rarely wear anything special while working. And this got me thinking about work uniforms, does dressing up help in productivity for work at home people like myself?
Should I dress up everyday knowing that I’ll just be going inside my home office and rarely get a video call that only shows my face and part of my upper shirt? I’m going to experiment and dress up for a week and see what happens…
I am the type of person that does not want to throw anything away, and that philosophy applies to my clothes. As long as they still fit and are undamaged, I wouldn’t throw them or give them away.
So when my wife told me that she will be giving away some of our old clothes, I was hesitant. We sorted through our old clothes and picked the ones that we no longer use. I surprised to find that I no longer use a lot of the stuff in my cabinet. Even though those shirts and pants have memories instilled in them, I had to make room for new stuff and to let them go. We filled up a heavy box with old clothes that we gave away.
Now its time for us to look for new stuff, like maybe tailored sportsman breeches?
