House Renovation
Finally our house renovation is about to start! We now have the papers needed to get the architectural and structural designs rolling and I’ve already given the design to an architect friend. Hopefully everything will be ready before the rainy season pours in the coming months. Right now we are not too worried about the details, we just want the house built as soon as possible. I’m excited to finally park our car on our own garage – it might not be as big as steel buildings garages, but it will be our very own.
Israel Houghton’s Effect is an HD 500
When we watched the concert by Israel Houghton and the Planetshakers last Saturday I got excited when I saw their gears. It turned out we almost had the same effects. He has been using the HD 500 while I am using the HD 400.
I immediately took pictures of it to share with my friends. Now I truly regret not buying the HD 500. It was a little bit more expensive than the one I have and I could have gone overbudget had I bought it but it would be worth it. Anyway, I was expecting them to use MXR Pedals but it looks like they opted for a more simple setup.
Hiking – A Cheaper Alternative to Vacation
Ever since our family got to travel we realized how really beautiful our country is. We have only traveled to our vacation spot but it has already made a large impact on our lives and memories.
Unfortunately, going out-of-town for a vacation like that will only come once a year for us. Traveling is good but we also have savings and investment goals that we want to reach. But there is one cheaper alternative that we plan to do in-between vacations and that is becoming one with nature and go on nature hikes. We have yet to prepare for it by buying hiking clothes like Horny Toad Clothing and hiking shoes and bags. Once we have completed our gears we can start hiking. It will also benefit us physically so this is something we must pursue.
My Childhood Home
I remember when I was little we had a white patio chaise lounge in our garden complete with table. I spent so many afternoons there passing the time reading all the kinds books I could get my hands on. Back then, we still don’t have iPads and ebook readers but it doesn’t matter because I love the smell of books more – especially those really old musty ones.
Anyway, until now I can still picture our childhood home vividly. I wonder what happened to our house now. For sure it doesn’t look the same anymore. How I wish my grandmother didn’t sell it so we can take a vacation there every now and then.
Pet Store and Grooming Station – A Good Business Idea
We’ve been racking our brains for a good business venture for some time now. Recently, there’s a small space that became vacant in our place so it prompted us to brainstorm once again.
Then it hit us that a profitable business idea might be a pet shop. We can sell different animals for pets and also provide them food for their pets. Since pets are known to eat and eat then that could provide us a stable source of income every month. Aside from that we have been getting a hard time finding a groomer for our pet shih tzu. There’s one at the mall but every time we inquire it’s always full to the brim! One time we were at the mall and the attendant says we had to wait for 6 hours to have our dog groomed. So it just goes to show that dog grooming business is booming.
Anyway, before we could take any action the place was already rented by someone else. Next time we will be more prepared by arming ourselves with more knowledge and investing in some POS Hardware for our future business. For now, our online jobs are providing for our family but we don’t know until when so we better be prepared for the future.
