I am hearing rumors that Korina Sanchez and Noli De Castro are going to replace Karen Davila and Julius Babao in TV Patrol World. They say that now that Maria Ressa has resigned, Karen and Julius’ days are numbered as hosts of the widely popular news television show. The fact that Willing Willie is also catching up in the ratings might also be the reason why they will axe the two current hosts. It was said that Ted Failon would also join Noli and Korina. If this is true then we don’t know what will happen to Davila and Babao’s career. Would they also join the bandwagon and jump ship to TV5? I guess we’ll just have to wait for things to unfold.

Parental Favoritism
One of the most common problems experienced by families with more than one child is parental favoritism. Parents are said to be playing favorites over their children when they provide unequal love or treatment to them. Parental favoritism may be actual or simply perceived. Parents however should realize that children are quite perceptive and can easily see through words and obvious actions.
In a family situation where parental favoritism is happening, children can either end up as the favored one or the disfavored one. While favored children receive preferential treatment, disfavored children are often mistreated or neglected. The degree of favoritism may not matter. It may be manifested in the application of house rules; gender preference such as boys should always be first or in the amount of attention and opportunity given to each. Extreme cases of parental favoritism sometimes involve inflicting physical punishments to disfavored children.
Parents are not always aware that they are guilty of parental favoritism. Most of the time, they just believe that all their children can be raised in the same way regardless of the difference in their personalities and capabilities. A child will experience a sense of disfavor if his/her needs are continuously not being met. Differences in children appear to the primary cause why parents inevitably show signs of favoritism. Intelligence, behavior and birth order can illicit certain reactions from parents that will be interpreted as favoritism by the children. Parents should be more sensitive by not giving out praises to one which tends to put the other down. Every child has his/her own quality that should be discovered and encouraged.
Buying Second Hand Cars
When budget is a major consideration in buying a car, the possibility of buying second hand cars would always come up. There was a time that such an option was synonymous to buying a problematic car. Pre-owned cars have its corresponding risks especially if maintenance records cannot be clearly established. There is also the risk of buying illegally obtained cars with questionable documentation.
The scenario has greatly improved since various car manufacturing companies started dealership for pre-owned cars. Buying from this source is the safest option since the companies can guarantee the offered and real condition of the car. Regardless of where you choose to buy a second hand car, there are some very important matters to consider before making the final decision.
Buyers should do their homework by checking out known mechanical problems associated with the car model. Consumer magazines are very good sources of this kind of information. Another thing to check is the current prices to make sure that buyers are negotiating within a reasonable range. Knowing the current price in the market allows more room for buyers to haggle for a mutually acceptable price. Related costs in car operation should also be taken into consideration.
Physical inspection and examination is a step that is never skipped when buying second hand cars. This is best done in daylight and preferably with a knowledgeable mechanic in tow. Buyers can ask sellers for the chance to test-drive the car. Other things to look out for are proper insurance coverage and legitimacy of mileage.
Mechanical Breakdown Insurance to Help You During Equipment Breakdown
Any individual who has a business relying on machinery, computers, and transportation (such as cars and trucks) knows that breakdown of these vital equipment would mean substantial loss of money resulting from repair or replacement.
Mechanical Breakdown Insurance (MBI) helps to cover losses resulting from the damages of business equipment. Covered by this type of insurance are breakdowns of electrical, mechanical, computers and communications, boiler and pressure equipment, and air conditioning and refrigeration systems.
Mechanical Breakdown Insurance provides the necessary funds to repair or replace damaged equipment as long as the factors that caused the damage are listed among the insurable conditions (termed as “insurable accidents”). It also helps to cover the losses associated with the time frame it took to repair or replace equipment.
Before availing of this type of insurance, it is important to get an assessment to determine the value of the equipment and evaluate the property and work condition risks that may lead to equipment breakdown. After getting this assessment, the next step is to get comparative quotes from various insurance companies in the area.
To get further information on Mechanical Breakdown Insurance, it is best to consult with a certified insurance advisor.
Cyber-bullying
Bullying is no longer the exclusive domain of boys having superior strength or other perceived advantages over the “weaker one”. Today, there is a form of bullying that takes place in the Internet and perpetrated by almost anyone whose main mission is to torment, embarrass, threaten or harass another. This bullying is done through text messages, e-mail and other types of digital technology. Modern young people now have to contend with a modern terror – cyber bullying.
Cyber-bullying is the juvenile version of cyber-stalking or cyber-harassment. Recent studies would show that a substantial percentage of kids have had experienced cyber-bullying more than once while online although most opted not to inform a responsible adult of their unfortunate experience/s. An interesting component of these studies is the fact that most victims knew their tormentors. However, cyber-bullying allows for anonymity and this remains a primary reason for its popularity as a form of bullying. It appears that anonymity encourages more vicious attacks because of the “protection” being offered to them.
Physical bullies can be easier to hide from as compared to cyber-bullies who can follow a person anywhere through the personal computer and cell phones. It is a child’s nightmare that won’t go away. Adults including parents and teachers can help stop this problem by being aware of the online activities of a child. It is important for the parents to set up rules for ethical cyber behavior. If cyber-bullying is a possibility, parents should take the necessary action to stop it. Kids should also be taught how to protect themselves from cyber-bullying.
Medical Coding Training Courses Can Give You Better Opportunity
Job layoffs resulting from an unstable economy has led many individuals to search for work opportunities from the home. One very promising job opportunity is that of a medical coder.
What is medical coding? To answer this simply, medical coding entails efficiently maintaining patients’ records in compliance with federal and insurance requirements and regulations by using a coding system, the most frequently used being the ICD-9 index. First of all, the history of the patient is broken down into identifiable symptoms or injuries and their corresponding treatments. These are then assigned specific code numbers. Medical coding allows physicians to easily identify and be alerted to potentially life-threatening symptoms. It also makes more convenient the process of reimbursement or the paying of hospital bills, doctors’ fees, and payments for other services.
Because of the high demand for medical coders, medical coding training courses are being offered in select schools and online. Many instructors recommend that those who want to study medical coding should also take medical billing as a subspecialty, which would mean better income.
If you are looking for better job opportunities, it is highly recommended to check out the various websites offering these courses or inquire with schools in the local area.
Cheapest Car Insurance
Any responsible car owner knows that it is very important to get car insurance to ensure that their vehicle will have ample coverage in the event of damage resulting from accidents or other conditions.
Because of financial difficulties, a person may be tempted to get the cheapest car insurance in order to save on money. However, most insurers recommend that a good car policy should be beyond the minimum premium rate to get adequate coverage. This coverage includes payment for repairs, replacement of parts, or total replacement of the vehicle in the event of accidents, car theft or other circumstances detailed in the policy.
When shopping for the cheapest car insurance, it is strongly advisable to compare the rates and terms of the policies being offered by various insurance companies. Take note that even if you don’t get a cheap insurance, you can get discounts on the policy based on the type of car (the more expensive the car, the higher the rates to pay), road conditions in the locale (if there are a lot of bumps or roads are unpaved, rates are higher), if the driver is just a student or practices safe driving techniques (discounts are given if the car owner does not have any prior records of vehicular accidents), and the number of miles that you drive each day (the fewer the miles, the lower the rates you pay).
Cheapest car insurance should not be at the expense of inadequate coverage for your vehicle. The best car insurance is one with rates that you can easily pay, but also offers good coverage for repairs and replacements.
Sibling Rivalry
Brothers and sisters competing against one another – it does happen and is known as sibling rivalry. It is a very stressful and frustrating situation for parents as they get to witness their young children fighting over every reason or their older children inducing physical and emotional hurt on one another. There is scientific evidence that siblings fight over parental attention especially in the adolescent stage.
Parents can help prevent sibling rivalry from occurring by not comparing their children and setting time for family activities where each member can be part of. The level of intensity is greater when the children’s ages are very close or if they are of the same gender. Siblings go through relationship experiences that include jealousy and competition.
Due to the different and changing needs of each child, anxiety develops and affects how they relate to others. Children also get their cue from parents in the aspect of resolving disagreements. Spouses who settle their differences in a respectful manner can expect their children to do the same. It is advisable for parents to allow their children to work things out for themselves and only intervene if there is danger of physical harm.
Parents can help their children overcome sibling rivalry by having time for each child. Severe conflicts require the assistance of professional help. Most cases of sibling rivalry however just need more open communication lines between family members.
